OpenAI has announced on X (Twitter) that an advanced voice mode feature is being introduced for users using ChatGPT for free.

This feature was previously available to ChatGPT Plus users who pay a monthly fee of $20.

It was introduced in November 2024 and is one of the best features of ChatGPT.

Through this, you can use the chatbot with your voice and often it feels like you are talking to a real person instead of an AI bot.

OpenAI previously offered this feature to free users for only 10 minutes per month.

But now it is being introduced in the form of a preview version for all free users.

However, it was not said how long free users will be able to use the advanced voice mode per day, it was only said that ChatGPT Plus users will get 5 times more free time.

For free users, the voice mode feature will be included in ChatGPT4o Mini, while ChatGPT Plus will have a feature based on ChatGPT4o.This feature has been introduced for all users from February 25.
