According to the American diplomatic mission, the eligibility of Pakistanis to renew tourist and business visas has been further extended. Citizens are eligible.

In the past, Pakistani citizens aged 45 years or more were eligible, those holding student and petition-based work visas will also be exempted from the interview, while the visa extension facility will continue this year as well.

The United States offers a number of visas for Pakistani citizens who wish to enter the country for business, pleasure, or study. The type of visa you will need to apply for depends on the purpose of your visit.

If you plan to visit the United States for business purposes, you will need to apply for a B-1 visa.

If you plan to study in the United States, you will need to apply for a student visa. There are two types of student visas: the F-1 visa and the M-1 visa. The F-1 visa is for students who are enrolled in full-time study at an accredited university or college.

The M-1 visa is intended for students who are enrolled in full-time study at a vocational or technical school.

To apply for a student visa, you will need to submit a completed visa application, a passport with at least six months validity, a current photograph and proof of course enrollment.

You will also need to pay a non-refundable visa application fee.

Tips to keep in mind while applying for a US visa as a Pakistani citizen.

1- make sure you have filled out the online application form accurately and completely. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

2- schedule an interview appointment at the US Embassy or Consulate in Pakistan. Interviews are required for all visa applicants and appointments can be made online.

3- gather all the required documentation for your visa application. This includes a valid passport, photographs, proof of financial ability to support yourself while in the US, and an invitation letter from someone in the US.

4- Finally, be prepared to answer questions about your travel plans and reasons for visiting the US during the interview.
